Being a member of Huntingdon Constituency Conservative Association means that you have joined the most open and democratic political party in Britain. After the first three months of your membership, you will be entitled to a vote in Party ballots. You will also have a chance to influence Party policy by letting us know your views.
Any person living in the United Kingdom is eligible to join the Conservative Party. Applicants are not required to be registered voters or UK nationals. There is no upper or lower age limit on membership, although children under the age of 15 cannot be enrolled as full voting members.
There are several levels of membership:
Full Member:
Members play an active role in the Conservative Party, can attend our annual Party Conference and receive voting rights in Party elections, once you have been a member for three months. Full membership costs £25 per annum per person.
Armed Forces Member:
Standard Party Membership - and all associated benefits - is offered at a reduced rate of £15 for serving or former members of our Armed Forces.
Patrons Club Member:
Patrons Club members have full voting rights. The Patrons’ Club is open to members from Associations across Cambridgeshire. The aim of the Patrons’ Club is to enlist the financial assistance of leading supporters of the Conservative Party and provide a forum at dinners and more informal gatherings. In return for their generosity, Patrons are invited to two events per year for which no further payments are required: A ‘Summer Drinks Party’ and an ‘Autumn Dinner’ in a Cambridge College with a guest speaker. Patrons’ Club membership is £200 per year for an individual and £250 per year for a couple.
Youth Member:
Standard Party membership - and all associated benefits - is offered at a special £5 rate to those aged under 23.
