Elected in 2017, Richard serves St Ives East as District Councillor.
For some people in St Ives, Richard has sold them beer, milk, mortgages, and even in some cases put their fires out!
Moving into St Ives in 1986, Richard and his wife Sue took over The Royal Oak Pub where they became an integral part of the community, working with residents to organise the town carnival and raising many thousands of pounds for charity through the Children in Need Appeal. Richard was also a part time reserve firefighter in the St Ives crew. After leaving The Royal Oak he became a milkman whilst training to become a financial adviser.
He currently sits on the Overview and Scrutiny Panel (Customers and Partnerships)
