Elected in 2017, Dr Phillip Gaskin brings an analytical and logical approach to Huntingdonshire District Council, serving the residents of St Neots Priory Park and Little Paxton.
Originally from Cornwall, Philip moved to Little Paxton three years ago with his wife, and in late 2017 they welcomed their baby daughter.
A research scientist at the University of Cambridge studying the causes of mental health problems, Phillip has played and coached American Football at University and National level for 10 years. His other interests include scientific public engagement and travel.
One of the newest members of Conservative team at HDC, Phillip has already brought his analytical mind to bear as a member of the Overview and Scrutiny Panel (Performance & Growth), and has recently increased his responsibilities by serving as Vice-Chairman of the Corporate Governance Committee.
